Therefore, addressing women’s needs is central to improving the quality of life for not only that woman but also her family, future generations and her community. In fact, recognizing the significant role of women in economic development is the smart thing to do, as well as being socially and morally right. Your support can make a difference.
Style Your Own Success Story
Dress for Success Columbia is a non-profit organization that helps low-income women make tailored transitions into the workforce. The organization is dedicated to providing interview-appropriate clothing, career growth and confidence boosts. Women receive what they need for an interview—from clothing to confidence—and can return once they find employment for the apparel and accessories required to enter the workforce.
Discover Confidence through Fashion and Support
Each Dress for Success client receives an outfit, shoes, accessories, cosmetics and hygiene products when she has an interview. Upon landing a job, Dress for Success invites her to return for an instant working wardrobe, with up to five outfits available based on inventory.
The Dress for Success mission is direct, immediate and simple. Dress for Success distributes donated suits to women who are striving for economic independence. We treat each client individually, treating them with dignity and respect.
Clients or member agencies do not incur any fees.

Join us by making a monetary contribution. Donate your gently used, nearly-new professional attire. Volunteer your time to empower women in your community. With your support, we can continue providing services that inspire women to take charge of their lives.

Success Is A Team Effort
Dress for Success Columbia was granted its charter in May 2014 to the founding Executive Director, Dr. Argentini Anderson. Dr. Anderson, along with other founding planning committee and board members, saw the need for such an organization in the Columbia area. The organization is located at 1804 Hampton Street, Columbia, SC, in downtown Columbia. We suited our first client in 2015 and launched our Career Development Center to serve our clients by addressing their career and personal development needs.

Suiting
We want you to feel your best while job searching and in the first few weeks of employment. Once you've scheduled an interview, obtain a referral to visit your local Dress for Success boutique. Our volunteers will work with you to help you choose an interview outfit, as well as provide guidance and support for the upcoming interview.
